Les Effets Indésirables des Vaccins

    L'OMS définit les effets indésirables comme tout événement médical défavorable qui suit la vaccination et qui n'a pas forcément une relation causale avec l'utilisation du vaccin. Les données des essais cliniques et des systèmes de surveillance apportent des informations concernant les effets indésirables des vaccins. Les vaccins engendrent des effets indésirables bénins transitoires : signes locaux (douleur, induration, érythème) et parfois des effets généraux (fièvre, irritabilité, fatigue, myalgie, céphalée, etc.). Pour certains vaccins, il existe des preuves scientifiques qu'ils sont associés à des effets indésirables sévères très rares. Cependant, les bénéfices de ces vaccins restent largement favorables en comparaison à la rareté de ces effets indésirables graves.
